Once a person is saved are they always saved? When people come to know Christ as their Savior, they are brought into a relationship with God that guarantees their salvation as eternally secure. Numerous passages of Scripture declare this fact.
(a) Romans 8:30 declares, “And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.” This verse tells us that from the moment God chooses us, it is as if we are glorified in His presence in heaven. There is nothing that can prevent a believer from one day being glorified because God has already purposed it in heaven.
Once a person is justified, his salvation is guaranteed – he is as secure as if he is already glorified in heaven. We have to remember that salvation is a gift from God the Father. Technically speaking God who sent the Son to rescue mankind from sins is the Savior. God Saves. The Son who took the action is part of that salvation process, and we called it, Jesus saves.
“8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it” Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT)
Once we are saved we are saved and it cannot be undone. We don’t lose our salvation, but for those after accepting the assurance of salvation then turn back to the old ways and lost it, then being saved is just the senses that control our soul or emotional feelings and not the spirit that gives life. It is stated in John 3:15 that said “that whoever believes in Jesus Christ will “have eternal life, not eternal soul or immortal soul.”
The promise of eternal life will never be in error as it is written in the Bible that what we believe is free from error. It is harder to understand that salvation can be lost than a guarantee of eternal security. Once we have it, it is ours and God never wants it back. God wants everyone to be saved and to fully understand the truth of His word. There is only one God, only one way to be saved, one deliverer of truth and one source of life.
To understand why it is not possible for God to take back what he gave because of His nature; God is love which is His nature and God is the giver of life. It is also necessary for us to understand that death is the end of our physical life here on earth; it is not because God allows it but our sin made it happened.
The wages of sin is death.
We believe that Jesus conquered death and why people still die, simple answers for the simple questions because we are sinners, our human nature made us vulnerable to sin. Paul said we all sinned and short of the glory of God and definitely we need a savior and God by nature is the giver of salvation.
Psalms referred to God as the Savior of man. “I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me, there is no savior” (Isaiah 43:11).
